The UK's National Health Service, NHS, commented on the study, saying it did not prove that not eating breakfast was a direct cause of death from heart and arterial disease.

According to a review published on the NHS website, people who said they did not eat breakfast were more likely to smoke in the past, drink more alcohol, and avoid exercise. , Eat unhealthy foods and are economically weaker than those who eat breakfast.

The study only looked at people's breakfast habits and did not include an analysis of these other habits. It also does not show what breakfast is important to different people. For example, most people eat breakfast every day, but some of them have a healthy breakfast at eight o'clock and some spend the morning at a sandwich or cereal bar.

However, Dr. Way Baune, an assistant professor at the University of Iowa who is the lead author of the study, defended the findings. He said that according to his research, breakfast is an easy solution for a healthy heart. Experts wrote that according to their information, this is the first analysis on the link between skipping breakfast and heart disease.
